Brushing aside the fallen leaves, November ushers in the holiday season. Thanksgiving is one of our favorite celebrations because it’s one of the few that requires no gifts, but gives us a special time to express gratitude for all that we have in our lives.
At the same time, we are aware of those in our community who are in need. In the north woods, Warm the Children is an organization that’s particularly important for families. This year, they have a formidable goal and have been asked to provide clothing for approximately 600 children. Winter coats, hats, scarves, mittens…essentials for a northern winter.
At Coldwell Banker Mulleady Realtors, we’re stepping up to the plate…or rather, to the chili bowl. On Tuesday, November 27th, we will be holding a chili cook-off at the VFW, 418 W Pine Street, down the block from our Eagle River office. From 5-7 p.m., all are invited to try a variety of chili recipes, prepared by local contestants. 100% of the $2 per generous sample will go to Warm the Children. And you get to vote for your favorite!
If you would like to participate as a contestant (everyone’s been telling you your chili is the best!) or if you have any questions, please call Karla Bryant at Coldwell Bank Mulleady Realtors at 715-479-1774.
Sometimes we take the most basic things for granted: Shelter, clothing, and food. Please join our effort as we connect the three for this important fundraising effort. More than anything, we need people to attend! It will warm your tummy…and your heart.
